We offer individual coaching sessions and seasonal college workshops for students in middle school, high school and college.
We begin with an initial consultation, then meeting for one hour sessions at first. Then we can move to 30 minute weekly sessions to review your week focusing on the logistics of organization, initiating tasks, and breaking down the tasks to easier chunks of accomplishment. We review what’s working and what isn’t, and try new strategies for better success. From homework to long term academic projects to strategizing your workload over a semester, the goal is to give the student more control over their upcoming organization.
These meetings can be in person or virtual.
We also offer College Workshops which are held in the Washington DC region in person. These are one-day workshops reviewing the logistics of organizing the semester workload and an overview of who to meet with as needed. These workshops also have a second professional who reviews the social and emotional insights of the college years and an overview of resources to get help as needed.

Getting started is simple. Reach out through our contact form or schedule a call—we’ll walk you through the next steps and answer any questions along the way.
An initial consultation is 30-45 minutes for parents of middle and high school students, and a 30 minute introduction with the student. If sessions are initiated, the initial consultations are complementary.

Why Marcia?
Families and professionals often remark that Marcia has “that special something” that allows her to connect naturally and authentically with teenagers. Her knowledge, genuine warmth, and ability to build trust help students feel understood, capable, and motivated to move forward.
That personal connection is at the heart of effective academic and executive functioning coaching. The “secret sauce” is the relationship. Marcia takes time to listen. When students feel seen, respected, and understood, they are more willing to explore new strategies and discover what works for them.
Marcia brings years of experience and knowledge to a thoughtful, student-centered approach. She helps students better understand how they learn, identify their strengths, and develop practical strategies and workarounds for the everyday demands of school and life.
Just as importantly, Marcia works to reduce the frustration, self-doubt, and shame that can accumulate when executive functioning challenges, or ADHD, ASD and other learning differences have made daily tasks feel harder than they “should.” Her goal is to help each student move beyond frustration and toward greater confidence, independence, and self-advocacy—equipping them with strategies they can carry with them long after coaching ends.
